Preparatory music courses

The Preparatory music course is addressed both to people wishing to start to learn the music practice without any previous qualifications, and, as a support, to people who intend to enrol to PIAMS institutional courses or other structured education initiatives.
The two-year educational path is aimed to provide the student with the necessary skills to read the music and with a correct approach to the singing and/or to keyboard instruments, with particular attention to the progressive development of technical skills, the musical sensitivity, and sound control.

Each course year includes 24 instrument or singing lessons which are combined with 30 music reading lessons. It is possible to attend only the course of Music reading. For children (6-14 years of age) is planned instead a specific programme (Kindermusik). A final test (exam) is scheduled at the end of the two-year course to check the skills gained. Successful students will receive a certificate showing the score and its conversion in ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits according to European regulations.
