First specialization course in Organ

The Pontifical Ambrosian Institute of Sacred Music (PIAMS) is pleased to announce the First specialization course in Organ, focused on Organ works by J.S. Bach and the European repertoire across the 17th and 18th centuries.

The course, led by Maestro Alessandro La Ciacera, professor of organ and Organ composition at the PIAMS, will be directed by Maestro Alessio Corti, professor of Organ at the Haute École de Musique in Geneva and Bach interpreter.

The training cycle will have a limited number of partecipants: a maximum of 6 people are admitted according to the list. By 15 April 2011 candidates will have to submit to the Registrar's office the CV in European format and the Artistic curriculum, toghether with the programme of chosen works. The Registrar's office will report results of admissions directly to candidates by 20 April 2011.

Classes will be held at the Basilica of S. Simpliciano, the Christian Protestant church, S. Maria Segreta, S. Maria Annunciata in Chiesa Rossa and the Catholic University.
